Certified Education Assistants make a difference in the lives of people with unique needs so they can have every opportunity to participate fully in our society, and access education and services that allow them to live to their fullest potential. The School District 63 and Vancouver Island University Education Assistant and Community Support Certicate program (EACS) will get you ready for a rewarding career working with people of all ages who have mental, physical or emotional challenges.

EACS includes a blended cohort of grade 12 students engaging in a dual credit opportunity as well as adult community members. This 7 month full time program runs from January 2023 to August 2023 and is delivered in person at the Saanichton Learning Centre on Mount Newton Cross Rd.
